First of all, a birthday"gift" and best wishes to Erin at the Bright Owl! She does such an awesome job providing us with a zendala template each week, despite her busy schedule with nursing school. Thank you, Erin and here is my birthday tangle for you - "maelstrom" by Linda Dawson. Oh, I love using this tangle. It has so many pretty ways to put those boxes together! I also did a twinchie with just maelstrom and its variations for a swap.

Every Inchie Monday's word was cathedral. This is the third attempt. I had great ideas but non of them seemed to work out. This one turned out okay, but it isn't what I envisioned.

Diva's challenge was to use the tangle "Jailed Johnny" on a tile. Aside from adding this one to my notebook, I haven't really used it. It hasn't been one of my favorites, however, I do like the way it turned out here, sort of a fabric look to the piece.

Have a great week and thank you for dropping by!
I know EXACTLY what you mean about having a vision and it doesn't come out quite the way you planned, but your inchie drawing is great! Nice shading! All of your drawings are so nice!
ReplyDeleteCathy, all of your work here is just beautiful!!! The detail on your Inchie is fabulous! :0) Share Humanity
ReplyDeleteGreat tangles and inchie, it wasn't easy this week.
ReplyDeleteYour creative juices are flowing. These are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love your inchie - your drawing is fabulous.
ReplyDeletexxx Hazel.
Your cathedral inchie is beautiful & I also love the maelstrom pattern too.

I like your zendala, I have not used maelstorm. There are so many different tangles it is hard to keep up with them or even think of them all. At one point I had "delusions" of using my journal to practice each tangle. After almost 18 mos. that is still not a reality. It does limit what I do a little. That is why I like the Challenges and dares as it will get me to at least try some new things.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so well done. I love the shimmer on those big and beautiful hearts a lot and your Inchie is sweet.
ReplyDeleteAll are wonderful! Especially I like your fabulous zendala!
ReplyDeleteYour inchie cathedral is perfect - it has such serenity.
ReplyDeleteYou did very well and ... a lot. Like Donald I can't keep up with al the new tangles that come by, I think we all experience that.
ReplyDeleteThis Jailed Johnny is also not a favorite of mine, but nice to have tried is, don't you think?
Your pieces are all great, your JJ would make a fabulous fabric pattern. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteI think your cathedral looks beautiful. Do you know that I am unhappy with my inchies so often? Some weeks later they look much better than the day I do them.
ReplyDeleteI love the inchie, so much work in such a small space! Your work is always amazing!
