H is for Horse

It worked again!  Made by Joey's challenge to fill an H string with H tangles worked perfectly with the Every Inchie word - horse.  Neat, huh?

I used the tangles hollibaugh, hamadox, and hypnotic for the H tile.  I also really like the idea of using color for this challenge.  Gives me another chance to play with the colored pencils.  I got a wonderful set for Christmas so I have them out whenever I can.  They are by ColorIt and are really nice.  I may decide to spring for a set of prismacolors as my retirement present to myself, lol!  I like the huge color selection.
Diva's challenge #304 couldn't have made me happier.  I really love the new tangle waybop and that is what she challenged us to use.  Along with a little verve and this was fun!

The last one for today was a calendar section I just started to play with.  There was no plan, just playing with some tangles, old and new.  I couldn't resist a few little lady bugs.

I had a wonderful day at school today.  The kids were really being quite cooperative and that always makes for fun.  I hope your day is going well.  Take care and thanks for dropping by!

Une Vache

Or cow in English.  That's the inchie word for this week.  Cows have such sweet and gentle faces.  Particularly baby cows.  Here is my entry for this week.  I am not sure she looks so sweet, but I think she is cute.
Made by Joey's letter is G.  I kept mine simple again and used the tangle gnarly (this one was the one we had to use) and golanas.  Gnarly turned out okay, but even so it is not going to be a favorite for me.  To me it just doesn't seem like a "tangle" for some reason.
The last product of the week for me was Diva's challenge - a Valentangle!  I used watercolors and painted a tile - pinks, reds and a touch of blue.  Then when it was dry I added some valentine tangles.
I have another 4 day weekend.  I think I am getting spoiled.  Friday was a personal day for me.  I haven't ever taken many of those (sick days either).  I hate being absent.  But with retirement coming closer, I will "lose" my personal days if I don't take them.  So I am going to take a few.   And Monday was President's Day.  So I have another long weekend!  Yahoo!
Thank you for dropping by and I hope you are having a wonderful day!  Hugs to you all!

Beautiful day!

I am in a great mood!  I have attended a retirement conference and am moving forward with that.  It is really going to happen.  I have filled out social security so that is going to be coming soon.  Our school system was closed for the next two days due to illness.  Not only are the kiddos sick but teachers are too and subs can't be found.  Seems even in this computer age they can't do without us, yet.
I also just got two different facebook messages about purchasing some items from me!  My goal (dream) is to have a small business for retirement.  I want something to keep me busy - active.  And yes of course a bit of crafting cash wouldn't be a problem either.  When I get it all set up I will put it on this blog so you can drop by and say hello!  Keep your fingers crossed I actually make a sale!
The inchie word this week is pig.  I thought of Charlotte's Web and Wilbur.  My brother suggested Napoleon the pig from Animal Farm.  And of course there is Porky!  My pig is none of the above really, just a cute pink pig!
The Diva Challenge was to use the tangle hamadox.  I had not tried this one before but I do really like it.  It has such a swirly fancy feel to it.
Made by Joey's challenge was the letter F and the tangle, festune.  I also added fat-x and feather touch.
Yesterday my furbaby turned 9!  Where does time go?  I just brought him home from the pound a few moments ago!  He has turned into such a wonderful dog.  He was quite a rowdy puppy and there were times we questioned our sanity for going with a puppy.  Prior to him we had a 19 year old dog.  I had forgotten how much work a puppy could be.  But it was fun.  And he is so special to me.
No flash, please, I am trying to sleep!
Thank you for dropping by.  I hope you are having a very blessed day!  I am really envious of those of you who have snow.  I think winter is going to pass us up this year.  Feel free to send me some!

E is for Eeyore!

Okay the inchie word is not Eeyore.  It was donkey.  But he is my very favorite donkey.  He's so sad and lovable.  I just want to pick him up and find a way to make him happy.  So for my inchie (donkey) I used Eeyore.
I honestly don't have any donkey stories. . . This is one critter I have never owned.  But I wouldn't mind having one of those mini ones.  They are just so cute.
The alphabet tile is for the letter E.  Didn't that work perfectly with Eeyore?!  I wonder how many more weeks will fit together this way?  I used the tangles el prado and emingle.

This has been a rough week.  I am hoping for some rest this weekend and a better week coming.  Our school has been hit by the germs this past week.   Strep, the flu, bronchitis, you name it!  For three days this week I have only had a dozen kids in my room!  Hard to push on with missing that many.  I went in most of the week feeling really bad, but getting a sub is next to impossible.  We had 13 adults out on Friday alone.  I really hoping for wellness this coming week!
Thank you for dropping by and I hope you are having a great weekend!
