Art and whine

No that is not a misspelled word.  I am in a whiny mood.  I have coughed and wheezed til I cannot stand it.  I am sort of feeling better, but only after doing nothing but sit. And sit.  And sit.  I sat and planned yesterday for school.  I went to bed thinking I could drag through the day.  Surely.  My body had other plans.  I tossed all night long and coughed.  So much to my aggravation I called in sick. I really hate doing that.  Now don't get me wrong.  I love a day off school better than most, but not when all I can do is vegetate.  No fun in that.  But I called in either way.  So I went back to sleep and slept late (finally), stayed in my pajamas, and moved to comfy chair to draw.  I haven't really moved all day except to push the pencil around.  I would love to have played with the Cricut, but that requires motion.
Alright whining is over.  Now to what I did accomplish.  I made my round of the challenges and got to finish several.  It was nice to be able to sit and create some things.  I also got to watch several you tube craft videos.  Lots of ideas to try when I am feeling more spritely.

I hope to make it back to school tomorrow.  Truth is, I could take another two or three days and just sit, but my class needs me.  I don't like missing things we need to do.  So we will see what tomorrow brings.  If I can make it through this week, I have a 3 day week end coming.  I can't wait.  Thanks for dropping by and putting up with my whine!  Have a blessed day!

  8. It is horrid having to take a sick day. Quite a lot of people seem to pretend to be sick in order to take an extra day off work, but I was never able to understand that because of the pile up of work I would have to face when I returned.

You are obviously a woman after my own heart so I hope you have a quick recovery and get back to school soon. Meanwhile your tiles are great and don't require much energy.

  9. I know how much you dislike missing school. Students seem to fall apart when Mama is gone and it's hard to catch up. I'm glad you were able to spend a bit of time with the pencils though. Nice work. Take care and get well soon.
