Days 271 -277 A Week's Worth of Art

Did I mention last time I purchased some shrink plastic?  Yes, I guess I did.  I have been waiting for some more days to have time to play with it, so for day 271 I did a little playing.  I cut a tile size piece of plastic and tangled it.  Then of course the fun began when I shrink it.  There is always that moment when you wonder if it will ever uncurl - but of course it does.

I decided this week I would have to pick and choose my challenges.  I just didn't have enough time for them all.  That bugs the obsessive part of me, but with school screaming for more time, that is just going to have to happen.  I combined two challenges for day 272 - That's New to Me focusing on the letter I and Diane Clancey's challenge #26 with the letters FIN.  My tangles are illawarrior, facets, and nvelope.

Many years ago there was a program on night TV called "Hot L Baltimore".  Actually I never saw the program, but the name always fascinated me.  So for day 273 and Every Inchie Monday, I used that for inspiration.  The word was "hotel" and the "e" on my sign is supposed to be burned out.

I had to quickly make two cards for birthdays this evening, day 274.  So I decided to put some of my tiles to work.  They seem to stack up so I thought this might be a nice way to share some of them.  These two cards are for two people at school.

Did you see the lunar eclipse last weekend?  I was so ready to watch it and take pictures.  Our sky was so cloudy nothing could be seen.  I had been working on this piece of art in journal for awhile and could not decide what to put in that big circle I had put in the middle.  I decided on a tribute to the red moon (that I never saw). The coloring is not so great, but overall I like day 275's piece.  Wonder if I will be here to see it the next time?  I certainly hope so.

Day 276 and I worked on Adele Bruno's challenge #112.  We had to use the tangles minline, puffle and kisses.   I didn't have a lot of time this evening, but I did get it done.

Day 277 and back to the plastic.  I cut out two more pieces and tangled them.  Then I used my new pack of sharpies to color.  They are a bit dark, don't you think?  If any one out there has any experience with this stuff - share some tips.  I want to try making Christmas ornaments and necklace charms for gifts.  So I have to conquer the mechanics of this craft!

It has been a wonderful week for me.  I have felt so blessed this week I can hardly stop smiling.  I have had some financial concerns for a bit over a year - rather massive burdens.  God took care of a few of those this week.  I still have a long way to go, but this week for the first in a very long time, I felt like we were moving forward.  I hope you have had an equally blessed week!
