Dare # 85

I really love Bright Owl's template this week.  It is awesome.  Being out of school for another wonderful week, I was able to get in all three again.  Yahoo!
I love the woven look of W2.  I struggle with it.  It is one of the hardest for me to do.  But it is after all a "dare", so I figured go for it.  I wish I hadn't added the little bits of fringe on the ends, but it was too late to stop.  I liked it better before that.
I wanted something more organic for number two.  I started out with pokeleaf.  Then my brain went "aha", it needs a fence.  Then of course it started to rain (msst).  I was pretty sure I was finished.  Until the brain thing happened again and suggested houses.  I keep wondering if I should add some color to the houses only - what do you think?  I see bright red roofs with yellow houses.  Can't decide.  I do know that I really like this tile.  It appeals to me.
Rather simple tile for number three, but I love chard and cadent and will use them without any hesitation.  They are just mindless fun to me, especially cadent.
I wish you all a wonderful new year.   I hope it is filled with joy and good health!  Thank you for dropping by - not only this time but the many times you have brightened my day with your comments over the past year.

  1. These are great, Cathy. I am partial to the top one, probably because W2 IS a real challenge! You did it well. (What about putting a curved line around the fringe and filling it in? I know what you mean about adding something you wish you hadn't, but it still looks great.)

  3. I love them all. I think the houses in color would really make them pop out.

  6. All of these are beautifully done. I tried to pick a favorite, but could not choose because I like them all. I do agree with Jean that you did a great job on W2.

  7. You were busy. I like W2 in the top one. It fits in well. I like the organic character of the middle one. There is so much to look at with that one. Kept following your notes to see it all.

  8. Oh wow, you've been busy! Top one is my fave. The best to you in 2014 and see you Monday at the inchies.
BTW, I discovered Every Inchie Monday thanks to you. I looked at your photo - you know, the pup and all. Then I saw the inchie badge. :)

  10. Yes, you are so right, W2 is a real challenge. You did very well though.
My favorite is the second one, I love the way it's build up. I would not put color in it, but maybe that's because I like black/white best (most of the time).
    Happy New Year!

  13. These are all lovely! Your W2 is very well done... I had actually played around with using it and couldn't get the perspective right to fit the space -- you've managed very well! I think the second one is my favorite though. I love the organic feel -- Pokeleaf is one of my favs, and I adore the fencing and little houses!
