I think everyone who gives us challenges got together and decided to make it as hard as they could. I am not sure I am joking. Or maybe it was me this past week. Maybe my brain was not in a very good challenge mode. Who knows?
Every Inchie Monday's word or rather country was Germany. Now why should that be a problem? I haven't a clue. I tried drawing the Brandenberg Gate. On an inch?? Couldn't make it look right. So I decided on a cute German cap over the flag. Nothing fancy here.
Mak-rah-mee?? Joey, really!? I struggle with making that look "flowy" like it supposed to! I did get it drawn in one pass which was surprising. Then I decided to add some perfs and auras and finish it off with ripped screen. It doesn't look bad, but it was challenging.
Oh, Diva! What were you thinking? My brain was nearly fried as it was. We had to do a UMT called pickpocket. First I couldn't find the step outs. I don't do instagram (not yet anyway). So I called out to some FB friends and they supplied the needed steps. I practiced. I started. And started. And started. About 5 times. I ended up with something I sort of like and have to glue it over one mess up in my journal. Not my finest moment.
The Color It coloring challenge for the week was to choose only 3 markers and color the picture they chose. This proved to be fairly easy once I chose the colors. I hope mine is chosen as I could win a $20 gift card if it is. Keep your fingers crossed.
I think I will grab my markers or my zentangle stuff and just chill for a while. My poor old brain needs it! Thanks for dropping by and I hope you are having a wonderful week! Hugs!
Lovely colouring challenges, especially the second one looks wonderful! That Pick pocket doesn't look easy but you did it in a great way and I really like your Joey's tile with Mak-rah-mee in a beautiful combination.
ReplyDeleteOriginal idea for the ichie!
That PEACE piece(!) is just the perfect colours. It is exactly what we would have seen on posters in the late sixties. I think you're not the only one with fried brain syndrome this week but it was worth it, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work this week! All of it!
ReplyDeleteTrust me, you were not alone in your struggle with Pickpocket. However, it's a cool Tangle, so I hope I master it. I used to have problems with Paradox, but now I find it relaxing. Your 3 color tiles are both wonderful. :)
ReplyDeleteCathy your drawings are amazing, and your perseverance certainly paid off. Your little Tyrolean hat against the flag is very evocative of the area, well done you, I love calling by to see what you have done each week,Dx
ReplyDeleteI love all your artwork, it always looks flawless. I do hope you win that gift card! Have a great one
ReplyDeleteLove the inchie with the hat! Great zentagles!
ReplyDeleteYour pickpocket tile is really well drawn, though it's such a difficult pattern. The tile for Joey is beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteThis was definitely a week of difficult challenges😉 Lovely work, all of it😍
ReplyDeleteGreat inchie, and WOW to the tangles they do look difficult, especially the pickpocket one. I think you did an amazing job.
ReplyDeletePeace looks so pretty in your hands! The challenging challenges look great as well. Good job!
