Well . . . What next?

Yesterday was my final day in the classroom (we won't count if I decide to sub).  It has been a tumultuous week.  The awards day Wednesday with my kids was probably the hardest.  Yes, I cried through the end.  Friday, our last day, was too hectic to cry until the very last few minutes and then the kids and I cried together.  Some of them hugged and didn't want to let go.  I didn't either.
My first "project" is to finish this adult coloring book I have started and get it to the publisher.  I would like to see that happen.  I may not sell one of them, but that is okay.  It will be the fulfillment of a dream.  Then I really want an online or Facebook store to sell my art work.  I don't know where to begin there (suggestions welcome).  But that is at least a plan.
The inchie word is koala.  I have never seen one in real life, but would love to.  They look so adorable.  Australia is one of the places I would love to see.  I doubt I would ever get to, but who knows?
Joey's letter was T this week.  I should have made it stand for tired!  One of the things we have to do the last day is to move all - yes ALL - furniture into the hall.  I am somewhat sore this morning.  It is however done!  For the final time!  I used the tangles tipple, tamisol and t &e.
I have to work 2 or 3 inservice days this coming week.  Mostly paperwork.  Oh fun!  Monday they are going to have a retirement luncheon for me - that is going to be even harder than saying good bye to my kiddos.  These people are like my family.  Then on Tuesday I go to a county wide retirement breakfast - that doesn't bother me.  I am not as close to those guys.
Our weather is beautiful but oh so hot!  If this is our May weather what will July be like??? Yikes!  Thank you for dropping by and saying hello!

  1. Hey, congratulations on your retirement! It was the best thing my husband and I ever did we have such a busy social life far more than when we lived in the city and we're working. It will give you more time for Tangles too.

  2. Hi, Kathy,

Well done with the koala...I had a problem with him, but managed a little picture anyway. Your T tile is wonderful, I love the tangles you chose to go with Tamisol.

I am glad you are finally actually reaching retirement, and as I've said before, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed mine. For sure, yes, you will miss your co-workers and some of, if not all, the kids, but over-all, I think you will love it. Especially on Monday mornings, when you realize that, hey, I don't have to get up and go to work!!
