I had a plan when I saw Bright Owl's template. Spider webs and a big black spider in the center. But then my pen did something without consulting me, or so it would seem. I now have a basket of oranges. Ah well.
Every Inchie Monday's word was thunderstorm. The name of the tangle I used was lightning bolt. Guess they go together pretty well.
Thank you for dropping by. Have a great week!

Time for Relaxing!
This has been one of those weeks. You know the kind. If it can go wrong, it will. Around every corner, there is something stressful. You begin to wonder, what next? However through it all there has been some very nice blessings. We had a major computer failure - power supply - but we now have a better one. And the installation wasn't too bad (at least for me, don't ask my brother). I received a really nice "thank you" note from someone at school for something I did - made my day. I had a group of kiddos that were being more than difficult and my principal came up with a solution that will work for everyone involved. Lots of blessings, lots of need to tangle.
I finished my Dare for last week of the Bright Owl. Yep, I said last week. I didn't make it to posting it on the Facebook link. We were supposed to make a tile and then put it somewhere for another person to find - Random Act of Zentangling. My tile is done (and it is hard to part with it) and it is ready to go inside my library book when I return it. I will take a picture of it inside the book, but I am not ready to go to the library yet.
I also finished my project for Diva's challenge #141. We did a duo tangle using the two tangles, "fengle" and "quandry". Neither one of thoseare were my favorites. I still am not too excited by quandry, but I had so much fun with fengle that I used it for Diva's challenge, one of my ATC swap cards, and also used it all over my calendar page! What unexpected fun! The only problem with this card was when I got ready to watercolor the edges there was a tiny bit of yellow on my brush. I just couldn't bear to throw it out.
I finished 4 cards for the black with accent ATC swap which starts November 1st. The last count was 47 cards needed. I think I have around 40. But I have a few months to mail them all. We can do part of the group or the entire 47. I plan on doing all of them because I want to get 47 cards! This is so much fun! I am going this week to buy a notebook to put all my ATCs in.
I have several things I need to get done - this week's Bright Owl dare, my inchie, some more ATCs, and lots of Christmas presents to tangle. So for me, it is off to tangle - land for a bit! Have a great week and thank you so much for dropping by.

Every Inchie Monday - "storm"
This week's inchie word was "storm". I watercolored a background, added some scenery at the bottom, then tried to make it look like a dust storm or perhaps a funnel cloud. Whichever. I am pleased with the effect.
Next, this weekend I worked on an ATC for a swap from Blue Twig Studios. We had to do a card with the theme of Paris. In this swap, there will be one winner and it is winner take all! That would be exciting!
This group of four ATCs are for the black with accent swap (Facebook group). I love these swaps. It is fun to do the art work and even more fun to get such pretties in the mail.
Have a great week and see you soon!

ATC swap around the corner
The official date for the Facebook group swap is November 1st. But there are a lot of cards to be made by then. A lot. I want to participate by sending everyone a card, even though we can opt to do only half of the list. I figure the more I can send - the more lovelies I will receive.
I did another one of my large sheets - 7.5" by 10.5". This will be cut into 9 cards. It probably doesn't save me any time in all actuality, but it is fun for a change. Here is the large sheet before cutting. I planned a smaller square on each card for focus.
Then after viewing Ellen Wolter's how to videos on You-Tube, I had to try the tangle awrop. She makes things look so easy and clears up so many questions. This card features awrop.
The last one I just played around on with somewhat of a more organic look. Mushrooms and tangles seem like the perfect "couple", don't you think?
I have a long tangle to-do list! I need to finish my swap cards. get my calendar up to date, and work on several Christmas presents - oh my! Fortunately it is so much fun, I really don't care how long it takes. I do need a suggestion, though. I want to tangle on some glass Christmas ornaments - what pen will work the best? Will the micron I normally use work? Thanks for your help!
Have a great day and hope your week is wonderful!

Pointillism, a dot's a lot
When we glue in kindergarten, we say, a "dot's a lot" meaning don't use too much glue. Well, for challenge #140, I think a dot was indeed a LOT. A lot of fun anyway. I enjoyed this challenge and am pleased with how it turned out.
I finished the kitten for the Ornation Creation group. He was so much fun to work on!
Thank you for dropping by and leaving me some sunshine. Have a great week.

Challenge #139 and more
Okay. This was hard. I mean really hard. Extremely hard. Get the picture? I struggled with 8s Parte Dos over and over. Something about over under type tangles mess with my head. Once I worked it out, it was okay. Never will it be my favorite, but I did get it down sort of successfully. Sort of. I finished it. That should count for something.
I decided to use my fall break to put some work into the ATCs for the "Black with Accent" swap starting November 1st. I saw a great idea on Facebook (where the swap originated). I wish I could remember whose idea it was, but I liked the plan. I took a piece of paper and cut it to 7 1/2" by 10 1/2". That is 9 ATC cards. Then I tangled the entire large piece. Now that it is scanned, I plan to cut it into 9 cards. I liked this plan of working on a larger piece. It is also kind of fun to see how they will look cut apart. I even managed to get another stab at "8s parte dos" in.
Every Inchie Monday's word for this week was "dispute". Without waxing too political, just know that is a flag between the two combatants and you can fill in the details.
Finally finished the "hemsa" for the Ornation Creation Facebook group. I had fun with this one. Got to use the gel pens and some colored microns. I like the limited color, but I may have to do one that is totally in color when I find the time.
Thanks for dropping by and leaving me some sunshine. Have a great day!

Week - End!!
Yahoo! It is week-end, and I have had a really great one. Nothing major going on,just relaxing and tangling til my heart's content. In other words, the kind of week-end I absolutely love.
The template this week from Bright Owl was great, even though she has promised us a really awesome dare next week. That makes me very curious. And very happy it is coming on my long week-end. That should be fun. I tried for 3 very different looks - one sort of random wanderings, one organic and the other one nearly a steam-punk look. I am not sure which I really like the best. They all have elements I love.
I have been working on my templates from Ornation Creations (a facebook group) for ages now. I finally got two of them completed. I love these animal templates. They are so much fun. I also like that there isn't really a deadline on them. I can get as far behind as I "need" to and still play along.
Every Inchie Monday's word was "foot". What to do?! I decided on a pretty simple design of a foot. Nothing really outstanding here, unfortunately. Maybe next week.
I am so glad you dropped by. That is the thing I am missing now the most - time. Time to wander through my blogsites and look at everyone's art work. I hope to find the time next week-end for some creative inspiration. Thanks for any sunshine you can leave me! Have a great week!

Challenge # 138
I cannot believe it has taken me all week to do the Diva's challenge. I have had time. I just couldn't find any inspiration. We were supposed to look for borders on things around us to draw. I must undoubtedly live in a "borderless" world! So wearying of trying to be original, I simply made a tile of some tangles I like to use as a border.
Thank you for dropping by and I hope your week has been great!!
