I had a lot of fun with this dare by Erin at The Bright Owl. Every template she does is unique and awesome. For the first one I sort of kept it simple. Nothing fancy. When I saw the star beneath the petals, I had to try auraknot. Then I decided to try something different. I glanced over and saw the jar of colorful (and very cheap) pens I use to grade papers with. Aha! I decided to tangle with those on the second one. I still prefer my microns, but it was interesting to try the other and I do like the color.
Guess it is time to go and use those colorful pens to do what they were intended for - grade some papers! Have a great week and thank you for stopping by! Check out the entry for Diva this week. When I post I plan on letting you know where the Blog Friendship Cup is headed! It has a new home! And I have met a new friend!
Your colored one is very pretty with lovely soft color, but I really love the first one with the petals that seem to float over almost everything but then fold into a cave-like basket. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteWhat an original use of Auraknot.
ReplyDeleteI agree with sue, both are great but the first one stole my heart. It is as if the flower is keeping the star in place so that it can't escape out of the box. Great effect.
ReplyDeleteBoth are so nice! I love your linework in the first one.
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful Cathy - wonderful tiles. You know I didn't even see the star until you pointed it out lol :)
ReplyDeleteGreat solutions, Cathy. I love the 3D effect in the first one.
ReplyDeleteThese are both so beautiful and fun to look at. I truly could not pick a favorite. The first has such precision and crispness, and the second is so soft and delicate. Wonderful!
