Two challenges

I just don't seem to have a spare moment lately.  Know the feeling?  There are at least a hundred projects or more I want to dig into and I seem to get nowhere.  School is really busy now - so much to do there I can't keep up.  Or maybe I am moving slower - probably that.
I did pull out my much loved gel pens and do my inchie for Every Inchie Monday.  The word was earth.  I really love the sparkle on this one.  Of course I had inspiration as this last week I took my class to the planetarium.  Oh my goodness they loved it.  One little boy just kept going on and on about how much he wanted to go again.  I love it when experiences like that are available.

I remember one time during one of my first years of teaching, I planned to take my very small church school group to the mall to a petting zoo they had set up in the center.  I had ten children in my mixed age group class (I was the only teacher - yikes a one room school).  So I piled my crew into my volkswagen van and off we went.  The moment we stepped inside, a little first grader named DP was in total amazement but not at the animals.  As he said of the bunnies, pigs and such, "I see those all the time in the back yard."  It was the mall.  We had to ride the escalator, go up and down in the elevator and walk around to every store so he could see all this "wonderment".  He lived up on a nearby mountain and this was like entering a foreign world.  That was close to 40 years ago and I have often wondered where DP is.  I hope life has been kind to that precious boy and he has seen lots of "wonderment" in his life.
The other challenge I completed was one for Diane Clancy. We had to use tangles that began with the letters FUN.  I used fengle, florz, nzeppel, and up and across.  Lots of fun to work on.

Thank you for dropping by and indulging my trip down memory lane.  I hope you are having a wonderful day and it is full of sunshine, and of course a bit of "wonderment" for you!!  Hugs!

Every Inchie Monday!

This week's word was beer.  I don't drink, but I did enjoy doing the glass and trying to add some nice foam to the top.  If you look closely, the glass even sparkles a little!
Cheers to all dropped by to leave me some sunshine! I keep hopeing for a bit of the white stuff.   While we have had snow, it doesn't last and it is just a dusting of the yard.  I want a pretty "play in it" kind of snow!  Hopefully before the winter is over.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

No excuses.  I could've blogged several times this week.  I should have - so that I didn't have so many things to post.  But face it, I have been lazy.  I went to school this past Monday, then the weather started doing its crazy thing and I got off two days.  Then the rest of the week was winter break.  So I have had several days in a row to perfect my laziness.  I did spend time drawing and doing things on my Cricut, but I just never posted.  So here goes!
I did two Diane Clancy challenges.  I love those.  I think they are one of my favorites.  We are given 3 letters of the alphabet and have to use tangles that start with those letters.  I used some of the strings from a facebook challenge to put my work on.
Challenge #44 - MBZ - miander, box it up, and zooloo
Challenge #45 - WIR - whirly, ilana, radio waves
Another super challenge I participate in is over at Made by Joey.  This week we had to do a yinyang symbol using any tangles we wanted to.  I made a "bobble" in one spot and started to toss it.  But some shading sort of helps hide my brain cramp on this one.  Sort of.
The That's New to Me challenge #50 had us using a new tangle with the letter K.  I chose kloorz.  I also used ta-da by the feature artist.
Diva's challenge was to do a Valentangle!  I used one of the Facebook strings again and put one of those gems inside it.  I love they way they look, even though mine aren't quite as realistic as I would like.
And last but not least - well it is least in size - is the piece I did for Every Inchie Monday.  The word was slippers.  They are the first thing I do when I come through the door each day.  Shed those shoes!  My slippers are somewhat old and very beat up, but oh so comfortable.  I can "hear" my feet cheer when I get them on.  Seriously.  I can.
I hope you are spending Valentine's day with someone you love or at least doing something you love.  I am doing school work when I finish here.  No, I am not complaining.  I have had all those "lazy" days, remember?  And I have one more day of winter break tomorrow.  Besides, I honestly don't mind school work most days.  While this year has been the most difficult I can remember, it has nothing to do with my class, the work, or my colleagues.  I do believe the stress has worked a number on my health.  I am still getting over the bronchitis.  It does linger, doesn't it?
Have a wonderfully blessed day!  Thanks for dropping by!

Good morning!

I hope this post finds everyone in great health and having a wonderful day.  It has been a very nice weekend.  I should have worked on school work today, as I always do, but in a way I sort of did.  I pulled out my cricut and made valentines for my kids at school.  I totally love this group of kids.  They are so sweet and so much fun to be with.  I feel very blessed to have them.
I worked on Diva's molygon challenge and my inchie for Every Inchie Monday.  Other than that I really haven't done much drawing this week.  I have had several other things going on and just couldn't find the time.
Molygon

Thank you for dropping by and I hope you have a great week.  I am hoping for snow.  They say it is a possibility for Monday night.  I shouldn't be greedy.  I am off Thursday, Friday and Monday for Winter break.  But who in their right mind would argue with 2 extra days??  Not this gal.

Quick!

I have about 5 minutes and then I have to return to my task at hand.  So here is a quick post!  This is for Diane Clancy's alphabet challenge - letters DNE.  I used daggerly, nzeppel, drifts and - yikes!  I can't remember the one that starts with an E.  I am not near my list so I cannot figure it out.  Trust me, it does start with an E.
See you later, I am zipping off to something else.  Whew!
