When I first saw the string for Tickled to Tangle, I wasn't too sure I could make this one work. But then it sort of fell into place and I had a lot of fun with it. It was nice to sit down Thursday evening and relax with this project. Thursday was a kicker of a testing day - math. On top of that, the threat of severe storms and having to move to the hallway during testing. Two children crying during the test due to storms. One child with an "accident" and having to change clothes. Yep, zen was needed! So here is my Day 106.
There is a new challenge out there - well, actually two new challenges. One is over on Facebook, called Stacked and Tangled. It sounds like fun. The other is an alphabet challenge at Diane and Carolien's. I decided to combine the two of them. I stacked tangles that begin with the letters, D,E,F. From the bottom up my tangles are - Dex, Emingle, Fandango, Dutch Hourglass, Esses, F, and Dyzzee. Lots of fun for Day 107.
For Day 108 I accomplished two Journal52 pages. I had the first one ready to cut last week-end, but no time to do it. The subject was "cards". I love playing cards. A lot of my fond memories of home is a group of us (parents and grandparents) sitting around playing Crazy Eights, Rook, or some other great game. Wonderful family times. I also love "Alice in Wonderland", so I decided to use characters from this movie to celebrate the cards!
This past week's page was "Collage". Okay. I know I may have said this before, but I don't like collage. Let me amend that - I don't like doing collages. Other people's collages are beautiful, generally. I am a planned and orderly thinker. (yes, you would not know that from looking at my desk at school or my craft table, but hey) I can't think in the random order required for a great collage.
I chose a theme - old things - and cut out a lot of ephemera from a scrapbook book. then found a great piece of patterned paper that already looked like it was a collage.
Those nice orderly rows of tangles are much more appealing to me. Much. Have a great day and thank you for dropping by.
What a great idea to combine stacked and D-E-F!! It worked out great!! Glad you were safe and had the hallways to go to!! I don't think I know the tangle F - have to look it up :) All your other work is also lovely! Thank you so much for joining us!! Hope to see you this week for G-H-I !!!
